What is thinking? Can we say it is an interaction of thoughts and ideas. We human beings are gifted with a 3 pounds organ in our head called the brain which is responsible for controlling all our activities. The human brain is the most complex organ in any creature on earth. Perhaps what makes us the most dominating creature on earth is our ability to critically analyze and think. So now comes the question what is critical thinking?
To me critical thinking consists of the following steps.
Another component of critical thinking is Vision. It is not just important that we find immediate short term solution. Ideally we must think about the consequences of our actions before applying them. A solution to one problem can stimulate another problem. People who have vision stand out in the crowd and they are the people we like to call a "genius".
Thus it is important to develop critical thinking from the very childhood. I think solving puzzles can be a good head start. Maintaining this blog can be another one. Well I am exhausted of all the critical thinking involved to come up with this article so I am going to end it right here.
Thank you for reading it.
To me critical thinking consists of the following steps.
- Observation: This is the process of collecting maximum outside information through our sensory organs primarily the eyes, ears, tongue, nose etc.
- Analysis: This is where the brain plays its part. It assimilates all the information and tries to find a meaningful explanation. This process is perhaps the most important part of critical thinking and the complexity of the human brain makes it possible.
- Action: Based on the analysis performed by the brain it is time to take a suitable action. The course of the action is also decided by the brain and signals are send to different body organs. The muscles are stimulated by the signal and the action is performed.
